Seriously, if you only take one piece of advice from this, make sure it’s this one.

If you are NOT an Expert in PPC then DO NOT DO IT. You will loose your shirt for no results. If you need PPC then there are plenty of ‘experts’ online who can create and run a promotion campaign for you. You can then specify your costs and results and know your budget. I speak not only from personal experience but from all the good information you will find. Newbies to PPC just profit Google.

You don’t say what your website is which is a shame because you could get get much better advice if we knew what it was exactly.

Depending on profitability of your site/product will decide what you need to do. If youn want to use any kind of paid tarffic generation then the first thing you need to assess is your ROI (return on investment). I.e you need to pay less for your advertising than you make in profit. Sounds simple but trust me this is where most people fail and end up seriously out of pocket.

If you have a low profit margin then SEO (natural search) traffic may be your only option. Yes it takes a bit longer to get your traffic but when done properly it doesn’t take that long and it can be sustainable for years.

If you want to geenrate some free quick traffic then there is a great ebook on using the latest web 2.0 techniques ( latest buz stuff) which you can use to generate highly targeted traffic. Targeted traffic is the key, along with commercial intent.

Fact is no-one just bangs up a website, no matter how pretty, and makes money. You’ve made the first step but now you need to do a bit of work on perfecting it to make it profitable. That’s down to driving traffic to your site, testing to ensure targeted traffic with buying intent, improve conversion rate’s (visitors to buyers ratio)

usually coax to an ip video encoder then ethernet to a switch then it could go wifi or fiber back to a central office. traffic cameras work the same way. some enforcement cameras use a dsl connection.

I take the exact same route at the same time every weekday and on some days the is bumper to bumper traffic. The constants are there are not any accidents, time, and route. I’m stumped, and if there is reason perhaps it could help to avoid it. And from what i can tell there is not a pattern, like more traffic on Wednesdays or Mondays, there isn’t any continuity and the difference is dramatic, one day stop and go for 6 miles and others non stop the entire way. Looking for an intelligent answer to my frustration and curiosity.

If you seriously wanna know, collect some statistics and observe long enough and you might get an answer. Though sometimes it can just be co-incidental owing to the random human nature, some factors might influence:-

1. Weather-A pleasant weather is an excuse to get on the road.
2. Workplaces-People can have workplaces along the road.
3. Popular spots-There might be a popular eating joint/movie theatre, so more rush can be expected 30 minutes before a show begins.
4. Weekends-People just love to roam about at weekends.

There’s gotta be some pattern. TIP : Observe any important buildings along the road, try to mark areas of maximum traffic on a map, collect data for a few months, tabulate it. Observe. One thing I’ve learnt over a period of 15 years of my life is that if you don’t know the answer, you didn’t think over it long enough.

Your blog’s usability goes hand in hand with its content. You can specialize in a niche subject as long as you have an idea of how many people might be interested in that subject. If you do well with your niche subject matter, you could get some crazy traffic for being the only decent blog online with that type of content. On the other hand you could have widely used content, such as some aspect of technology, but add your own twist with your opinion or comparing/contrasting from other tech analysts. People won’t go to your site to read something they could have read on CNet or Tom’s Hardware, they want a unique take on it.
