My website should be up and running within the next few days.

Hey,

If you’ve got a small budget, you can purchase online advertising space - I own a website which sells this, and your space can be re-sold to other users if you feel you’ve had enough!

So technically you wont be loosing out - you can even make a profit if you have a unique number of advertising squares.

PM me for more info.

What the best way to avoid traffic driving from Connecticut to DC?

Taking an 18 month old on a road trip from Milford, CT to Washington, DC and want to avoid as much traffic as possible. We’ll be traveling on a Thursday morning but I’m planning on leaving Milford at 5:00am. Will I still hit a lot of traffic going over the GW Bridge or through New York?

Stick to I-95 as much as you possibly can. Although traffic may be heavy, it only crawls as it comes to a toll booth. An "easy pass" can make it much, much faster for you, by the way. For the most part, you’ll bypass most of the city traffic.

If you don’t have a GPS, get one. Especially with a little guy on board. You can search rest stops, restaurants, etc. all along the way.

How to generate traffic to your website or blog?

Is there any free method of drawing traffic to a website or blog?

Many companies advertise that upon payment of a $167 fee, they will post your blogs and generate traffic to your blog or website guaranteeing you income in excess of $ 2000.00 each and every month.

These types of advertisements sound like scams.

So, how do one generate traffic to a blog or website?

Anyone who guarantees to make your site rank in position 1 at the search engines or who guarantees you income of $XXXX.XXX is full of crap. Don’t fall for that.

The ways you drive traffic to a site is marketing. There are lots of ways to market a site online and offline.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization): You can make your site rank for keyword phrases that people looking for your type of site will be searching for. This is more of a strategic, long-term approach. In general, it will take months, if not a year or more to rank well for even moderately competitive search phrases. But EVERY site who plans to be around for a while should be thinking strategically as well as tactically.

Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can promote your site on social media sites. But this is tricky. It CAN drive significant traffic if done correctly. You have to build a community of followers by participating in the community… basically talking about everyday mundane things, being funny, whatever… but DON’T push your product often. Some say 1 of every 100 tweets for instance should promote your company… any more than that and people see through you hard sell and defriend or unfollow you. They begin to see you as a spammer instead of someone interesting to follow.

PPC (Pay-Per-Click): You can buy ads on search engines (like the Adwords ads down the right side at Google). You bid on keywords on a per-click-basis and based on those bids (and other things like quality score) the engines will display your ad when people search for those keywords (called an impression). And if someone clicks through to your site by clicking on your ad, then you are charged what you bid (unless you have a high quality score in which case Google will lower what they charge you).

CPM: You can buy banner or text ads from ad networks. They generally charge you a fixed fee for each thousand impressions. So if you buy 10,000 impressions they will display your ad 10000 times on random sites that participate in their Ad networks.

Custom Deals: You can work out deals to have your ad displayed on various sites like the home page of Yahoo! and MSN ($$$$$$$$) or related web sites that you’ve identified as being frequented by the type of visitors you are targeting. Typically, these are based on some timeframe like a day, a month, whatever… at a fixed fee.

Off-line advertising: TV, radio, newspaper, business cards.

What you do… which combination of marketing you select… depends on your business, your product, your industry, the types of visitors you want to target. But basically it all boils down to marketing.

What is the best systemetic way to generate traffic on website?

For a long time i’m searching tricks and good methods to drive a possitve traffic on my website but nobody’s idea helped me in a right way, Is any body here could help me ?

"However there are many other ways to promote your website and accumulate a
fans..FACEBOOK aslo a great medium to increase your network between the internet
users, to generate a big traffic on your website you required a systematic and enhanced
method..I explain it as more as i know, first make an account on facebook create a profile with full of details after it, One way is to invite all of your friends, if nothing else, they will at least look at the page they get invited to, but there are bound to be a few who will join. From there, word will spread just from someone seeing that your friend became a fan of it, which will speak others interest. you are on the right track with ideas such as facebook. It’s and excellent place to promote and as long as you have access to email address- then you can post free ads there….But this is a long and labouring procedure to drive the traffic for website, we can use the diffrent way..many service provider around us one them I’ve listened a name that’s magicsolv.com a helpful source for all of the above we need for website, they can do it. I think it may be the best way as well. best of luck !"

How bad is traffic going into las vegas from LA on new years eve?

I get off work in la at about 8ish and I’m hoping if i book it i can make it there before 12. Anyone know REALISTICALLY how bad the traffic is?

The traffic may be a little worse than normal (you might just make it).
But also remember the traffic will be bad when you GET to Vegas because the strip will be blocked off/closed.

The hotels however require a two night minimum stay from 12/30 -01/01 so you will probably miss the major rush from Los Angeles by a day.

GOOD LUCK!!!

where can i buy a giant land snail in the usa?

i looked at all the web sites but they only sell to the uk. even if they are illigal can i some how traffic one over to the usa

Appearantly they are illegal to own in the U.S. I also read that many people have them… I couldn’t find somone offering them for sale though, and I am sure it is because of them being illegal. I assume you need some connections to get one. Too bad, they look awesome!
