My old GPS could build routes for me based on traffic, but I had to get rid of it. I can’t find a website online that has that feature. There is a bunch of construction in my area, so I would like to be able to get a traffic optimized route home from work. Any ideas? thanks.

I was driving and I came to traffic lights, I literaaly went through as they were turning red.
The road was a crossroads, I noticed a traffic light camera on the road at a right angle to the one I was on. It was about 3 metres away and facing other traffic lights, not mine. Will I get a ticket?

Depends on if the camera is actually monitored, or, actually hooked up. You won’t know unless it comes in your mail. Some cameras are actually out there as a deterrent, but they’re not in operation or they may be temporarily out of service. Just be mindful that unless you do get a ticket, you’ll never know which camera is on at that time and who may be reviewing the tapes. As long as you didn’t do anything incredibly stupid, like cut someone off/almost broadside them/almost hit a pedestrian, and you have a clean driving record, I wouldn’t worry too much.

When you get a traffic ticket, it doesn’t seem very funny at the moment, but when you sit back and take a look at the things people will do to fight a traffic ticket, most of them seem downright dumb. And in all honesty, the best way to fight a traffic ticket is not to remember what to do, but remember what you shouldn’t do!

Think about it - You’re stuck in traffic and your patience is running thin. Trying to get around traffic, you pull onto the shoulder and pass traffic until a cop comes to pull you over. When the cop comes to your window, the excuses start to fly off of the handle. “Well officer, sounded like it was about to explode, so I figured I would drive on the shoulder until I could get off on the next exit”. He probably won’t buy this one. This is one way NOT to beat a ticket!

Let’s just say they don’t do the double check, and issue a policy based on your false record. Then you have an accident before the double check is done, and then the real record comes in. They can deny a claim based on the fact they may not have issued a policy with the proper data, or, at the very least, would have been charging a higher premium for a higher risk.

If the record comes in after the policy is issued, and you haven’t had an accident, you will get a letter demanding an explanation for the missing declaration (remember, you have to sign the application), and then they will decide whether to cancel you for cause, or bill you a higher premium.
