Can I get married at the court house with an outstanding traffic ticket?

Yes, the traffic ticket may or may not come up however.

Yes, you can. The ticket itself isn’t a big deal. Now, if the ticket has since gone to warrant, you may have a problem. You can still get married, however.

Can I come to the wedding? I would love to see some constable chasing you around the building with a warrant while your significant other and the JP, as he’s shouting out the wedding vows follow close behind! Hell, I’ll even pitch in towards paying off the ticket! Did you think of that? Run an ad in the paper asking people to come as witnesses to your nuptials and ask if they could pay five dollars towards your fine! Make it a "does love triumph over the DVM?" thing. Afterwards have a reception with burgers and dogs, you’ll have a day you’ll remember forever!

Marriage license bureau in pretty much every state only gives you a form to fill out, and swear to tell the truth, present positive ID and they’re done.

    No state "runs" names.

Why would an outstanding traffic ticket keep you from getting married? If there is an arrest warrant issued because of the ticket, then appearing at the courthouse might lead to you being arrested, but they’d probably let you get married first if that’s what you were there for. Why don’t you just take care of the ticket?
