Do police get ticketed by other police for minor traffic violations?

Would a cop give another cop a ticket for something minor?

That depends on the officer.

I’m not an officer, but I dispatch for a small town department. When I’m pulled over, I usually don’t tell officers that I’m a dispatcher unless it’s the middle of the night. But every so often, they ask, and I’ll tell them, and I’ve still been ticketed twice.

Most officers will decide if they’re going to write a ticket before they even get out of their car. And that’s the way it should be.

Not usually, but sometimes, it depends on the officers and the attitude of the offending officer.

kinda depends on where you are and how corrupt the system is. and as mentioned above, the persons.

    like:

usa, normal donut eating cop, good mood. No ticket.
Germany, strict cop, almost no corruption, kinda angry. Ticket.

It isn’t common at all, but stop and think… If you were a part of a brotherhood that shared a common belief system against a mass of people that could turn on you, would you betray your ‘partner’?
And besides, where is your hostility coming from anyhow? The police should be the least of your worries today…
Your anger should be directed towards all of the chemicals we are exposed too. In soap, shampoo, bottled water, especially our foods. Do you think the police put poisonous chemicals in our food? And, if you smoke or drink alcohol, I really feel sorry for you.
My best advice is to get a woman, a piece of land in the middle of nowhere, dig a well, raise some cattle, and start a garden. Oh yeah, and instead of using banks to store your money, store it in guns and ammo. The world has always been an unfriendly place. Now that things have been peaceful for the common man for so long, you can gauruntee that the worst is about to go down.

Not bloody likely. The issuing cop would have all the other cops on his tail to give him one back.

They should get a ticket, but don’t.

I have issued traffic citations to other police officers. And, I got tagged by the Washington State Highway Patrol a couple years ago.
